Welcome to Baguio Villa, a luxury residential estate located in Hong Kong Island’s Southern District of Pokfulam at 550-555 Victoria Road. Developed by New World Development Limited, one of the top developers in the territory, between 1975 and 1979, Baguio Villa features a mixture of multi-storey residential buildings built in the midst of green and refreshing landscape with impressive outdoor recreational facilities and ample car parking.

 

Constructed with a total of 19 residential blocks in 6 phases, the estate consists of Lower Baguio Villa (Phases 1, 2, 3 and 6) and Upper Baguio Villa (Phases 4 and 5) and is separated by Victoria Road which provides access to the estate. Baguio Villa accommodates spacious flats ranging in size from 1,020 sq. ft to 2,680 sq. ft. with the majority of units having either sea view or mountain view. All flats are designed with good layout and high efficiency in floor space with most of the units having relatively large windows which allow for ample natural light and good ventilation.

 

Television reception in the estate is good and access to satellite TV for both local and mainland China broadcasts is readily available. Application for a 100-megabyte fibre optic broadband internet connection is available to residents of Phase 3 while this service for other phases is being arranged. A central LP gas supply system serves the entire estate.

 

The two swimming pools, one in each part of the estate, are well facilitated with qualified lifeguards on duty during opening hours. Other recreational facilities such as tennis courts, children’s playgrounds and landscaped seating areas are available in both Upper and Lower Baguio Villa. In addition to the recreational facilities, there is a Park N’ Shop “International” supermarket located in Lower Baguio Villa and a few real estate agencies comprising the remaining commercial users. Free parking next to the supermarket is available for shoppers.

 

Security in the estate is managed by well-trained local guards who are assisted by well-monitored closed circuit TV systems in each residential block and car parks in the estate. The car parks are also installed with electric gates for added security.

 

Public transportation services in the estate are provided on a daily basis by two green mini bus companies with No. 8 originating from Lower Baguio Villa and No. 28 from Upper Baguio Villa, the former to Central and the latter to Causeway Bay, both routes via Pokfulam and the Mid-Levels districts. Faster non-stop or express services during weekday peak hours to Central and Causeway Bay are also provided by these mini buses, thereby saving travelling time by as much as 15 minutes. In addition, Victoria Road is a franchised bus and mini bus route connecting the area with Southern, Western and Central districts as well as Kowloon. Taxis are frequently available in the estate.

 

Baguio Villa is popular among the local and expatriate community not only for its multi-cultural setting but also its child and pet friendly environment. The estate is conveniently located to a number of local and international schools and can easily be reached by car from Central through either the Mid-levels or Western districts, from Causeway Bay by way of the Aberdeen Tunnel or from Kowloon via the Western Harbour Tunnel.

 

Furthermore, Lower Baguio Villa is located within 5 minutes’ walk to Cyberport, a modern commercial/office/residential complex boasting a number of restaurants, retail outlets, a cinema complex, a 5-star hotel, a Park N’ Shop “International” supermarket, a church, ample car parking facilities and a terminus for franchised buses and mini buses which provide services to Aberdeen, Causeway Bay, North Point and Kowloon. Close-by at the sea front, is an open park frequently enjoyed by children, dogs and adults alike.
